Communications and Content Advisor

BJC HealthCare | August 2021 - Present

I have recently joined the Sourcing and Branding department at BJC HealthCare to assist with content and design efforts for their BJC Careers brands.

Current responsibilities include:

  • Design digital and print recruitment flyers, social graphics, and presentations through the direction of our brand guidelines.

  • Compose and post social media content for up to seven affiliate hospitals, including the BJC Careers platform.

  • Align on business case presentations to push the BJC Careers brand through to more effective target audiences through the appropriate social media platforms.

  • In-house photography and videography support.

Digital Marketing/Social Media Specialist

Together Credit Union | January 2017 to August 2021

Lead consultation meetings with other departments to identify opportunities for promoting products and financial education content on our social media platforms. Then collaborate with the creative team to assess individual creation goals. Reach out to the department head with project timeline expectations and serve as point person for additional follow-up. This process assisted our goal in bringing our Real Estate department to their stretch goal for the year by mid Q3, with 125% before end of 2020.


Authored a social media policy and procedures that would give clearer direction to all elements of our digital platforms when a rebrand occurred in November 2019. I also chair all Member communications on digital review pages, including Google Business, Yelp, and Glass Door.


Audit digital channels at year end to assess year over SWOT analysis for social media platforms. Hold annual meetings with the Director, VP, and COO of Marketing to discuss findings.


Overhauled our content management approach by advocating for more financial education content to be accessible by all members, bringing our in-house digital content to life. Over a two year process, I formulated a cost-analysis breakdown and created a budget for an in-house studio to be produced in our headquarters located in Downtown St. Louis.


Conceptualize and execute monthly content calendars for the digital platforms we use: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. This monthly content is scheduled with the participation of our Branding and Public Relations team.

Marketing Coordinator

Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County | October 2013 to December 2016

• Established relationships with organizations and congregations by setting up informational appointments, regarding new Habitat St. Charles builds and new partner families.


• Informed the public of all events and fundraisers coming up in the year through social media sites, direct mail, email marketing campaigns, press releases, and public service announcements.


• Assisted in event planning and coordination for after hour business events with new sponsors, donors, and Chamber of Commerce members.


• Updated website information for affiliate offices and ReStore on WordPress platform.


• Arranged marketing appointments for television and radio spots.


• Attended all Chamber of Commerce meetings, networked with new businesses and invited them to volunteer on the build site.

Teaching Artist

St. Louis Artworks | October 2013 to April 2014

  • Organized a collaborative syllabus with fellow teaching artist weeks before Documentary film class started in order to be approved by program manager and executive director.


  • Arranged meetings with interview subjects and pre-approved locations.


  • Educated students (known as apprentices) throughout the course of two semesters different documentary styles, as well as the essential elements involved with pre-production, production, and post-production values required to know in a small classroom setting.


  • Provided hands-on assistance when on-site for filming with apprentices.


  • Created pretests and final tests to ensure the apprentices gained a wealth of knowledge in film and enjoyed their class time.


  • Utilized test results as information for further grant writing opportunities to fund future film projects for St. Louis Artworks.

Social Media Manager

October 2012 to March 2013 | Abstrakt Marketing Group

This is where I got my foot in the door to learn about agency process and procedures.

My responsibilities included:  composing blog posts, Facebook and Twitter content on a biweekly calendar.  All creation built around the goals of building brand loyalty and promoting current campaigns.


I proposed content with approval from our content manager and editor on Base Camp, then schedule on Sprout Social.

The clients I was assigned to ranged from the automotive industry (Royal Gate Automotive), travel destinations (SkyWheel Myrtle Beach) and various IT companies.
